A finished suit gives you only part of the story. Before it is ready to wear, cloth has to be selected, marked, cut, assembled and checked on the person who will wear it. At Star Fashion Bangkok, our family’s tailoring tradition spans three generations. Our private tailoring factory is just 10 minutes from our Rambuttri Road shop, helping our team stay closely connected throughout the process.

Start with the person, not just the measurements

The first conversation is about your plans. Is this a business suit, a wedding outfit or something you want to wear more casually? Tell us where you will wear it, what feels comfortable and which details you like. Reference pictures are helpful, but your proportions and preferences guide the discussion.

Your travel dates matter too. Before ordering a custom suit in Bangkok, agree on a schedule that allows time for fittings and the work your chosen design requires.

Choose cloth and details together

A fabric can look different when it is held against you rather than viewed as a small swatch. We can compare colours, textures and patterns, then discuss the jacket shape, lapels, pockets and trousers. Bring the shirt or shoes you plan to wear if you want help seeing the outfit as a whole.

Marking and cutting the fabric

Our workshop photograph shows chalk lines on cloth and a tailor cutting by hand. These markings provide a guide for the garment pieces and construction details. Care at this stage helps the separate parts come together in the intended shape.

Cutting is one stage of the process rather than the end of it. How the pieces are assembled, how the garment hangs and what we learn at the fitting all matter to the finished result.

Construction beneath the surface

Some of a jacket’s structure is hidden inside. The construction and internal materials depend on the garment and the options agreed for your order. If you are interested in a particular construction method, ask us to explain what is included before choosing your suit.

Visible temporary stitching or an unfinished sleeve during a fitting can be part of the work in progress. They should be understood in the context of that stage, rather than judged as a finished garment.

Use the fitting to give clear feedback

Stand naturally, then walk, sit and move as you normally would. Tell us where you feel restriction or notice something you would like refined. Fitting adjustments to clothing ordered from us are included at no extra charge. A change of cloth or a major redesign should be discussed separately with our team.
